Important points about recieving SCAVMA benefits:

  • If you have paid for a 4-year membership, you are all set and will recieve your SCAVMA membership benefits automatically. This is another great benefit of choosing this option!
  • If you are paying yearly, in order to recieve a particular SCAVMA benefit (e.g. discounted surgery packs, AVMA membership) you must have completed your previous year as a "member in good standing" (paid dues & completed points, exception is first-years) and have paid dues for the current year. For more information, please consult Article XI in the SCAVMA Constitution.
  • Students on an official leave of absence (maternity leave, etc) and not enrolled in classes are exempt from participation point requirements. This, and other special arrangements, must first be approved by the SCAVMA executive board.
