Join SCAVMA as we help
support the the AVMA and the Children's Miracle Network with
The
Josh Project

The Josh Project is a joint program between the American Veterinary
Medical Association (AVMA) and the Children's Miracle Network called, "Pets
Helping Kids, Kids Helping Pets." It was designed by Knoxville
veterinarian Dr. Randy Lange, and the Project gives a kit to children
facing serious medical challenges. This kit is comprised of a stuffed
toy Golden Retriever and the book, "I'll Be O.K.," which
features a dog that is facing surgery as the main character. The purpose
of the book and the dog is to provide comfort to these children during
a very scary time.
This fall SCAVMA will be kicking off the year by having Dr Lange come and introduce
us all to this project, as well as to Josh himself (a real life Golden Retriever).
There will be more information coming soon, but in the mean time, if you need
more information you can visit the homepage for this charity at http://www.joshandfriends.com
