September 12th: Tour de Bar
This is our Fall Bar Crawl that is usually organized to be the afternoon of the first anatomy exam. Luckily this year it is the evening of not only the anatomy exam, but also the first pharmacology exam. Come drinking with your classmates and you may even see a few professors show up!

September 16th: Run Wild at the Detroit Zoo
Break out your running shoes – this is a 5k run/walk to benefit the zoo. The race is very flat and runs the perimeter of the zoo. After the race there is a great post-race party and you can walk around the zoo all afternoon. Registration is $20 until August 31st and $25 after. Get out of the classroom and enjoy fall with a group visit to the Michigan Apple Festival in Charlotte. You can taste apple cider, walk around the art festival and make your own candied apples. A group of us will leave for the festival around 10 am.

October 5th: OTS Oktoberfest
This is a new event for the Omicron Chapter this year, but we are sure it will be a fun event. We are planning for beer, pretzels and lots of other things in Oktoberfest style…bring your steins! We will also be celebrating a few birthdays at Oktoberfest.October 12th: Uncle John’s Cider Mill
Come spend the afternoon with fellow Oaties at Uncle John’s Cider Mill in St Johns. We will spend some time wine tasting, then head over to the barn for cider and doughnuts. You can even pick out your own pumpkin from the field and go apple picking.

October 13th: Alumni Homecoming Tailgate
Every year, OTS is usually asked to help out at the Alumni Tailgate at the Homecoming Game. This year we will be playing Indiana and the Alumni Tent is usually in a prime location. You can meet Sparty (if he stands in one place long enough) and even MSU CVM’s VIP patient Zeke the Wonderdog!

October 19-21st: Omega Tau Sigma Grand Council
Every year, all of the OTS chapters convene at one of the member schools. This year Guelph has decided to host the event. We are sure all that attend will have a good time and the Guelph students really know how to have a good time. In fact, they even have their own OTS house!

October 26th: Halloween Bash
The night before the Canine Cruise can be a little stressful, but we try to relax by going on a Haunted Hayride and then having a small party at a member’s house.November 3rd: Wine Tasting at Burgdorf’s
Many people do not that in the greater Lansing area we have a winery. We will visit Burgdorf’s and taste their wine – a selection of reds, whites and fruit wine. How often do you get a chance to explore all that Lansing has to offer?

We will be celebrating the election of a new OTS Board by having a Rockstar Party. Break out your bleach blonde wigs, spandex or cowboy hats to dress up for this event. Oh, and don’t forget your air guitar.November 17th: Tailgating for the Penn State Game
Come spend the morning with OTS members and CVM students at an OTS Sponsored Tailgate. Even if you don’t have tickets to the game, you can spend the afternoon out in the parking lot drinking beer and OTS punch.December 5th: Dessert Exchange
This is our last Chapter meeting of the semester and a chance to say goodbye to the third years as they transition into clinics. Every member typically brings a dessert, so it is a great and satisfying time.
