Pledging Omega Tau Sigma

What is Omega Tau Sigma?

OTS is a veterinary professional fraternity with chapters at 11 vet schools throughout the country. We are not like the typical fraternity, since we are community serviced based, but that does not mean we do not know how to have a good time.

We have a variety of community service activities that take place throughout the year. Our major events include the Canine Cruise (5k run/walk for people and their dogs to benefit a local animal charity), a Fall Food Drive (to benefit the Greater Lansing Food Bank), Salvation Army Angels Tree (giving gifts to children in need during the holiday season), a formal dance (Twilight Ball to benefit the Potter Park Zoo’s new veterinary hospital) and a Petting Zoo for Vet-A-Visit (MSU CVM’s Annual Open House). In addition, we also do a lot of smaller projects helping out local animal charities such as the Capital Area Humane Society and Horse’s Haven (a local horse rescue organization).

What are membership benefits?

How can I join?

Joining is easy, just fill out the Pledge Card (available on the OTS Bulletin Board by the student mailboxes) and return them to Jessica Ramirez’s (DVM 2010) by Monday, September 24th, as initiation will take place on Friday, September 28th.

You can also talk to a member at the Welcome Back Picnic on Sunday, August 26th (more information to come) or at the Welcome Breakfast on Thursday, August 30th.

If you have more questions, please contact either April Clark (OTS President, DVM 2009) or Jenny Haupt (OTS Vice President, DVM 2009).
